Why You See Grasshoppers

I had a dream on November 18, 2020 concerning brainwashing. The technique used in the dream was so simple. I saw an individual show three people three index cards, each card being white.

Each person was instructed to look at their card. When asked what color it was, they each correctly answered “white.” The person then began to tell each person that their cards were green, red and blue respectively. The people looked at their cards hard. When asked what color did they see, each responded “white.” This exercise went on for some time (cannot recall how long). At the end of the experiment, the person asked the people the color of their cards. Each person answered, green, red, and blue, even though the cards were still white.

The people were seeing what they were hearing. After continued input they believed whatever they heard as the truth.

This dream made me think about the ten spies and the promised land. When sent to the promised land, how did the ten spies come to the idea to see themselves as grasshoppers in their own sight? They did not suddenly see the giants and become afraid. The fear of the giants had been discussed previously in Deuteronomy 1:28 by their brothers who had discouraged them by telling them how big the Amorites were and there were sons of the Anakims living there, too.

There are two forms of media you must turn away from. The mainstream media is first. As a believer in Christ, how do you trust people who openly profess their dislike of the God we serve?

The second form of media you must turn off is the “latent power of your soul” which is influenced by your own desires without any knowledge or understanding of God’s purposes. These two forms of the media will tell you that anything you desire for your own pleasure is fine. You may have been brainwashed into thinking that God is okay with what makes you happy.

Controversial Life of a Pioneer

Are you willing to be a pioneer?

The blessings…the accolades only come after we have gone on to Glory.

While we are doing what God has given us to do, our lives, our methods, and even our motives will continue to be brought before the “Sanhedrin.”

There will be moments, from time to time, when the pioneers find themselves on a mountain top. The experience of having finally pleased the audience they serve will be short lived, for the mountain top experience is usually the road to the deep valley of despair; loneliness and incredible confusion. What happened? will be the question that follows many to their grave…and will follow every pioneer, generation after generation.

Yet, when all of the deeds; all of the pictures captured; all of the conversations remembered, the thread of a life bent to serve the Lord will be a golden thread. In the final analysis God takes all of the mess we make along with all of the misunderstandings and false judgments of man and receives us as broken bread and poured out wine for His Glory.

While Paul lived, many could only remember the murders; the arrogance and the unyielding will. We, who read his life and attempt to example our own after one who relentlessly followed Christ, will only remember the man who became a prisoner of Christ.

Each of us who march to the heartbeat of Christ are pioneers. Each of our lives is so unique and different… our road to travel reserved only for us. No one else can walk our walk nor can anyone else do the work God has ordained for you and me.

We will lose everything to gain all in Christ. We will become a controversy to all but Christ. It is in this controversy that the Heavens are open to us.

Accepting who God says you are is what opens the heavens.
